iPhone ahead of Android smartphone market in the U S
Record quarterly sales figures have allowed Apple iPhone to become a leader in the U.S. smartphone market, slightly ahead of competing devices based operating system, Google Android, Reuters reported with reference to research company Kantar Worldpanel ComTech.According to statistics from the company, in the fourth quarter of 2011, the share of iPhone in the U.S. market was 44.9%, which is twice more than a year ago. The NEW iPhone 5 Coming June of 2012
The all new iPhone 5 is already buzzing with speculation. Will the new iPhone 5 be a complete redesign? Yes! The current Apple iPhone release wasnt much to rave about, although people do really like Siri, the personal assistant. However, the new iPhone 5 is going to have some amazing new hardware and features like 3D video and pictures, newly designed keyboards and 4G speeds to name a few! This is made possible by the new A6 processor which will also be featured in the iPad 3.
This phone is going to be loaded with awesome new features like video chat on 3g and 4g (no longer restricted to WiFi only), face recognition and extreme downloading with 4G. (List of possible features below). The new iPhone 5features are speculated, but have been well received by the public and will typically follow suit based on previous releases and their features.
Like the recently release iPad 3, this new iPhone 5 will be equipped with a dual core A5X chip processors, much like the iPhone 4s (A5) and higher more powerful graphic chips that can deliver higher video resolutions (5-9 times better and 7 times faster) and amazing "still" images when taking pictures, AND it will make multi-tasking a lot faster, in addition to adding support for 4G speeds. There is a possibility it could contain the new A6 processor instead, boosting it above the iPad 3. It will also have a 4 inch screen (corner to corner) making it larger and on par with most android phones.
The processor will have speeds at 1.5 - 2.0 GHz and 1GB of RAM. Obviously the new iPhone 5 will have the new iOS6 software, iCloud and all the standard features of the iPhone 4S, including Siri, the personal assistant. These improvements alone will be healthy competition for the newly released Samsung Galaxy S II and the Google Nexus phone.
Apple recently filed several patent applications in order to bring 3D picture capturing to the iPhone 5. This phone will be capable of rendering, capturing and processing 3D images, which coincides with the recent changes to the dual-camera hardware. The new iPhone 5 will also be capable of taking pictures in Panorama!
The new iPhone 5 will boast 4G also known as LTE - Long Term Evolution technology according to AT&T which is due to the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) which is in line with the most recent technology standards for mobile networks.
Apple unveiled the iPhone 4S, a faster version of its best-selling smartphone that includes a virtual "personal assistant" you can talk to. And now, Apple will release the new iPhone 5, which looks promising in terms of being sleek, packed with new hardware and finally less restrictions. Very exciting! Samsung Star Reaches Record Sale of 30 Million Unit
Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a leading mobile phone provider, has announced that the sales of the Samsung Star have surpassed 30 million units. The Samsung Star reached this milestone faster than any other devices in Samsungs history, launched in May 2009.
The Star has consistently sold well since its release, hitting the 10 million sales mark after only six months and 20 million in just one year. Across Europe, where it first became available, the Star has sold 15 million units; it achieved similar success in Latin America (5 million units), Russia (3 million units) and China (1 million units). Notably, the Samsung Star has also topped bestseller phone lists in Germany and Austria.
The Star becomes the second Samsung mobile phone to sell 30 million units, with the Samsung E250 previously achieving this feat – however, the Star has reached this milestone in a little over half the time, demonstrating the growth and evolution in the mobile industry.
