iPhone ahead of Android smartphone market in the U S

Record quarterly sales figures have allowed Apple iPhone to become a leader in the U.S. smartphone market, slightly ahead of competing devices based operating system, Google Android, Reuters reported with reference to research company Kantar Worldpanel ComTech.According to statistics from the company, in the fourth quarter of 2011, the share of iPhone in the U.S. market was 44.9%, which is twice more than a year ago.
